I wouldn't know. I think the barbarians fight it out when it comes to succession. If something happened to his barbarian father, the khalasar would go to the strongest man. [And hopefully Dany would die screaming.]
While his father lives and the whelp grows up, then yes, he would have his father's 40,000 screamers surrounding him.
